Personal Trainers

It is the goal of the Denton High School Band to provide the very best learning experiences for each student. One of these learning experiences is the opportunity for a student to study privately with a professional instrumentalist or personal trainer.  Lessons with a personal trainer are tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child. Lessons should not be perceived as a tutorial, but rather a way to enhance your child's band experience. Students who study with a personal trainer often audition into the highest ensembles in the band and are successful competing at the state level.

One of the biggest contributors to a great musician and a successful band program is the active involvement in the personal trainer program.  While it is not required, it is strongly encouraged that each student takes advantage of this great opportunity!

Lessons may be scheduled before school, after school, and during band depending on the schedules of the students and the teachers.  Personal trainer lessons are 30 minutes, and Denton ISD has set the rate for each lesson at $20/half hour.
